What We Do

The University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) is a statewide leader in research, teaching and Extension, working to improve lives and strengthen communities across Florida and beyond. By connecting groundbreaking discoveries with education and real-world solutions, UF/IFAS addresses some of society’s most pressing challenges — from food production and natural resource conservation to human health and economic vitality.
