The Challenge 2050 Project is an academic and student development program whose mission is to address the biggest issue our world has ever faced—a global population projected to exceed 9.6 billion by 2050. In addition to its undergraduate Global Leadership & Change Certificate, the Challenge 2050 Project offers internship opportunities for students.
Through supervised practical training, interns will be engage with a number of professional organizations examining global challenges associated with the Challenge 2050 Project. Interns will be given the chance to explore opportunities within their area of interest to better prepare them for careers in similar organizations or agencies.The goal of the program is to give interns the knowledge, skills, confidence and maturity they need to take jobs related to these global challenges. - CALS Solutions Seminars
CALS Solutions Seminars are a series of student development activities designed for undergraduate and graduate students. These programs serve as avenues for students to gain leadership and life skills, making them more effective college students and preparing them for life after graduation. Seminar topics have included financial planning, applying to graduate school, dressing for success, personality assessments and leadership.

The College of Agricultural and Life Sciences hosts a list of CALS-related student associations, societies, clubs and activities. CALS activities and organizations provide great opportunities for students to develop their leadership skills.

- Scholarships and Awards
CALS offers a number of leadership- and excellence-based awards for both graduate and undergraduate students. For the 2014-2015 academic year, CALS awarded $527,900 in scholarships and awards to 405 students.

- Center for Leadership and Service
Available to UF students of all disciplines and specializations, the University of Florida’s Center for Leadership and Service (CLS) provides additional programs and resources for individuals looking to assume leadership roles in a culturally diverse and increasingly complex society. The CLS provides educational programs, workshops and conferences, and coordinates community service, leadership and service learning opportunities for UF students.
