The LEAD IFAS program provides leadership training for IFAS faculty and staff who have assumed or are interested in assuming management and leadership positions. The program was established in 2000 and centers on developing those crucial leadership and team-building skills that participants will need to become effective leaders in their organizations.
The course is managed by the Department of Agricultural Education and Communication and consists of three 2-1/2 day sessions held at an off-campus training facility.

Supervisors can nominate individuals to the program who are then selected by the IFAS Executive Team. Rarely is anyone turned down if they are nominated by their supervisor. Over 200 individuals have successfully completed the program.
